Design & Build Recruitment have partnered exclusively with a high-end design and construction firm to find a Senior Architect to lead and mentor a team of architects. You will be responsible for delivering transformative architecture and interior design across Northern New South Wales and South East Queensland. Local knowledge of the region’s environment and materials is essential for this role.As Senior Architect, you will oversee the design and execution of architectural projects, ensuring high standards of innovation and quality. You will manage a team, collaborate with clients and stakeholders, and guide the overall project direction from concept to completion. This leadership role requires both technical expertise and the ability to inspire and manage a team while maintaining close client relationships.Responsibilities: Lead and oversee the architectural design team, ensuring project alignment with client goals and company standards Develop and execute complex architectural designs for residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery Produce detailed plans, specifications, and reports using CAD and BIM software Conduct site visits, ensuring quality control and compliance with building codes and regulations Foster strong relationships with clients, contractors, engineers, and consultants Review and approve design and construction documents, ensuring adherence to industry standards Mentor and develop junior architects, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and sustainable design practices Requirements: Degree in Architecture or related field 7+ years of experience in architectural design and team leadership Proven ability to manage multiple projects from concept to completion Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, BIM (Revit preferred) Strong understanding of local building codes, regulations, and zoning laws Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills Experience with sustainable design principles and green building standards Ability to mentor and motivate a team while maintaining high standards of design quality Valid Driver’s Licence (required) First Aid Certification (preferred) Australian work rights What We Offer: Leadership role in a growing and dynamic design studio Opportunities for career growth and professional development Competitive salary and supplementary pay (overtime/penalty rates) Consistent full-time work schedule Relocation support due to regional location For any questions relating to this role or other opportunities with D&B and our clients please contact Charlie Jones on CJones@designandbuild.com.au or click apply.
