Our client, in partnership with the Australian Defence Force, is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Catering Manager to join their team. The role involves overseeing Hospitality and Catering Services at various Defence Bases in the South Australian region, contributing to the delivery, operation, and protection of Defence capability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing and developing a team of around 30 staff members, including Head Chefs, Supervisors, and Dining Room Attendants.
2. Collaborating with the Defence Force to design menus and oversee the planning and execution of Defence Force VIP nights and other Camps and events.
3. Working with diverse customers to understand their catering needs.
4. Ensuring staff rostering is well-managed and tailored to requirements.
5. Maintaining performance within budget and KPIs.
6. Conducting service inspections on delivery areas.
Qualifications and Skills:
7. Demonstrated experience in a similar role managing catering and hospitality events.
8. Strong emphasis on Food Safety and/or HACCP Certification.
9. People management experience or skills with an empathetic and innovative approach.
10. Must be eligible to hold a baseline Defence Security Clearance and be an Australian Citizen.
