Your new role
In your new role of Principal Lawyer, you will work within a large team of experienced lawyers and carry out sound legal judgement to assess applications for grant funding for legal assistance from external lawyers in accordance with organisational guidelines. You will review and manage grants and identify opportunities for early resolution.
What you'll need to succeed Admitted to practice as a lawyer in Australia Ideally, a minimum of 3 years' PAE mainly practicing in workers compensation law Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders effectively Excellent attention to detail Ability to manage workload effectively and efficiently What you'll get in return 6 - 12 months fixed term contract with a view to extend Opportunity to work in-house within a reputable government agency Healthy work-life balance 7-hour working day Flexibility to work from home Attractive salary Opportunity for contract to be extended What you need to do now
