We pride ourselves on offering classic pub dishes with a modern twist, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
We are looking for a talented and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and help elevate our menu.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
You will be responsible for menu development, managing kitchen staff, inventory control, and maintaining a safe, clean working environment.
This is a hands-on role that requires a creative culinary mind, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
This is a full-time ongoing position, working 38 hours per week based in Strathalbyn, SA.
Responsibilities:Design and develop seasonal, innovative menus that cater to a variety of tastes, while keeping true to pub classics.Manage and inspire the kitchen team, fostering a positive and efficient working environment.Oversee daily food preparation and ensure consistent quality and portion control.Maintain inventory, control food costs, and waste management to maximize profitability.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards.Collaborate with management to develop pricing strategies.Work closely with front-of-house staff to accommodate customer requests.Address any complaints or issues regarding food quality and service.Qualifications:Minimum of a relevant Diploma qualification.At least 1 year of relevant industry experience, or at least 3 years to substitute the formal/relevant qualification.Strong culinary skills, with a passion for creating exciting, high-quality dishes.Excellent leadership and communication skills.Ability to manage inventory, control costs, and minimize waste.Knowledge of health and safety regulations.Creativity and a keen eye for detail.Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment.We acknowledge and appreciate the values of equal employment opportunity and cultural diversity within the workplace.

Annual salary will be between $75,000.00 to $85,000.00 (plus superannuation) depending on level of experience.
