The ADOCS for Peri-Operative Services is responsible for the management of the following clinical areas: Main Operating Theatres (22 Theatres) Cardiovascular Suites (3 Cath Labs and 1 Hybrid Suite) Day Procedure Unit and Gastroenterology Suites (6 Scope Rooms, 3 Day Surgery Theatres, and 1 Procedure Room) Day of Surgery Lounge Cleaning and Sterilisation Department This role reports directly to the Director of Medical Services and Deputy CEO and receives input and support from the Hospital Executive Leadership Team. The ADOCS is supported by a Nurse Unit Manager in each clinical area, with 5 NUMs and 5 Associate NUMs reporting to you. Key Responsibilities Participate in rostered hospital on-call and benefit from an accrual day off. Be a part of the clinical leadership team and engage in key governance committees. Collaborate with Visiting Medical Officers in the Peri-Operative space, focusing on business development and relationship management. Support the development and delivery of the facility’s strategic goals. Manage daily patient flow to optimise patient safety and service demand. Lead continuous improvement projects, including change management. Align resources with budget and clinical needs. Design and implement strategies to enhance patient and staff experience. Work collaboratively with stakeholders to foster and maintain relationships. Provide mentorship, empower staff, promote professional development, and effective team building. Actively manage service provider contracts, including review and renewal. Develop business cases for new equipment and technology. Conduct serious incident investigations and implement improvement initiatives based on outcomes. Qualifications and Attributes Qualified health professional with senior perioperative management experience in a comparable acute care hospital. Demonstrated innovative leadership that supports staff, patients, and the organisation in alignment with Ramsay’s Management principles. Experience in effective workforce management. Proven track record in risk minimisation through workplace health and safety, injury management, infection control, and clinical incident management. Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment. Clear and effective communicator who embodies the values of the Ramsay Way.
