Home Companion Role
A unique residential community, Emmaus Village, is seeking a Home Companion to provide support and care to its residents living with dementia.
The village features 12 fully functioning domestic style houses, each with 7 to 8 residents, where they participate in normal household duties like shopping, cooking, and housekeeping.
The Home Companion will build meaningful relationships with the residents, encouraging them to maintain their personal identity while feeling empowered and independent in their daily lives.
The role involves collaborating with the Health and Wellness Team and Dementia Support Consultant to provide high-quality care and support.
A key aspect of this position is cooking meals fresh within each house, along with assisting and supporting residents with daily tasks as required.
This is a full-time opportunity, with flexible shifts available across 7 days, including morning, afternoon, and night shifts.
