As a Manager Consumer Credit Decisioning you’ll make an impact by: Leading a team of experienced line 2 Credit professionals to deliver assessment and analysis of judgmental credit transactions in a manner consistent with Bendigo Bank's credit risk policy framework; ensuring the resultant credit decision balances sound and profitable growth against acceptable risk. Proactively managing effective working relationships with lending units without compromising the position’s independence and objectivity. Managing the effective workflow of the team. Initiating training and development for staff to ensure knowledge is up to date. Proactively fostering the workshopping of transactions with Credit Managers & Consumer Banking lending staff passing on your credit decisioning knowledge. What you’ll bring to the role Demonstrated team leadership in current or previous positions with a track record of relevant team development, leadership and management Extensive experience in credit risk management roles including strong credit analysis skills, ideally within consumer and micro business Strong knowledge of lending procedures and platforms Sound and current knowledge of regulatory requirements, banking trends and practices particularly as they apply to the extension of credit and credit risk measurement techniques. Ability to build internal and external relationships and establish self as a trusted adviser.
