Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking an Orthopaedic Surgeon to join the Orthopaedics Unit.This role presents an opportunity to develop and shape a service for the rapidly growing population in the north of Adelaide.As an orthopaedic surgeon you will be part of our orthopaedic trauma service and be rostered on call.This position also provides a service to a multidisciplinary clinic for complex patients with podiatrists and endocrinologists.The area around Lyell McEwin Hospital is rapidly developing as a northern health hub with ample opportunities to base a successful private practice in co-located rooms and to undertake surgery in the soon to be co-located Calvary private hospital or currently in Central Districts Private.Ideally the successful applicant will have completed an Australian Orthopaedic Association Fellowship.Our unit has three AOA accredited trainees and six orthopaedic service registrars who support all our services.Teaching at all levels is part of the job description and while a research interest is encouraged the role is predominantly about clinical service delivery at this point in time.To be eligible for this position, you must hold a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award.The Total Indicative Remuneration figure is calculated taking into account base salary, leave loading and
