About the role
Gold Coast Private Hospital is currently looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team of professionals in providing excellent patient care on a part-time basis of 64 hours per fortnight, working various shifts across a 7-day roster. This position is in the surgical ward covering cases mixes across general surgery, urology, colorectal, and gynaecological.

As a Registered Nurse – Surgical your responsibilities will include:
Deliver evidence-based nursing care
Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team
Ensure patient and staff safety
Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and (AINs) to deliver patient care
Proactively assess the operative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the individual/patient
Document into the patient's medical record objectively, clearly, concisely and timely using accepted abbreviations and terminology
Minimum Requirements:
Authority to Work in Australia
Bachelor of Science (Nursing)
1-2 years surgical experience (desirable)
Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA
Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
Sound clinical decision making and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer focused
Experience in the care of one or more post-surgical specialties – neurosurgery, orthopaedics, general surgery, colorectal, gynaecology, plastics.
