Our client is Mackay's leading women's health clinic, delivering a high standard of medical care in the fields of gynaecology, obstetrics and fertility treatments. Due to recent movements within the company, the opportunity for a full-time medical receptionist has become available.
Your new role
In your new role as medical administrator, you will be reporting to the Practice Manager while working alongside other medical receptionists. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including:
* Assisting in general administration / reception duties
* Typing of reports and medical correspondence
* Entering patient data, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
* Maintaining and updating patient records
* Processing patient billing and receipting
* Scheduling patient appointments
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in this position, you will have:
* Effective interpersonal and communication skills with a strong focus on exceptional customer service
* Sound level of skill in office administration procedures and practices
* Experience in working with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
* Attention to detail and high literacy skills
* Polite and courteous phone manner
* Previous experience in a medical or health environment is desirable.
* A working knowledge of medical billing procedures and the ability to process Medicare and other payments is desirable.
What you'll get in return
This is a full-time position which will see you working Monday to Friday. This position will start off on a casual basis through Hays, with the potential to transition permanently after 3-6 months. This position presents an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and dedicated clinical team.
