About the Role:
This Federal Government agency is seeking a creative and driven Social Media Officer at the APS 4 or APS 5 level where you will be at the forefront of managing our social media presence, creating engaging content, and driving community engagement across multiple platforms. You'll work closely with stakeholders to deliver impactful messages and evaluate the success of our social media strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Draft and curate engaging social media content tailored for various audiences and channels.
* Schedule and manage posts using Hootsuite, ensuring consistent and timely delivery.
* Oversee community management, responding to comments and moderating discussions to foster a positive online environment.
* Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure cohesive messaging aligned with overall communication strategies.
* Evaluate the performance of social media posts using analytics tools, providing actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
Key Requirements:
* Australian Citizenship is mandatory due to Federal Government requirements.
* Current Baseline Security Clearance is essential for this role.
* Proven experience working in a government environment, with an understanding of public sector communication protocols.
* Strong experience drafting social media content and managing posts through Hootsuite.
* Demonstrated skills in stakeholder engagement and maintaining collaborative relationships.
* Experience in evaluating social media performance and reporting on key metrics.
