Here's what you'll need
Our Water group has an exciting opportunity for Dam Engineers to join a well-established, thriving team with a strong pipeline of projects. You will be part of a truly connected ANZ Water business that provides the full suite of consulting services, from advisory and engineering through to operations and asset management. Our team works seamlessly across multiple geographies, embracing Jacobs' culture of flexibility and global teaming.
We are currently seeking Dams Engineers of all levels to help us deliver a strong pipeline of high-profile and challenging projects across the Queensland region. Our clients include water authorities, mining companies, councils, and other government authorities.
A key focus of our work is our partnership with Sunwater to deliver their ambitious capital program as their engineering and professional services partner. A significant component of this partnership involves upgrading several dams by 2035 to maintain a safe, secure water supply for the region as part of the Dam Improvement Program.
We are looking for individuals who understand dam safety and the challenges facing dam owners, and who can work productively in a team to advance projects through planning, design, and construction phases. We seek skills in design management, civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, and electrical engineering, as well as expertise in hydrology, hydraulics, and asset management.
Qualifications
* A tertiary qualification in engineering
* Strong technical knowledge and experience in dams engineering designs
* Experience with design management, procurement planning, construction sequencing and construction programme reporting.
* Actively engaging in and developing a safety culture within a construction workforce.
* Ability to build constructive, appropriate and balanced relationships with counterparts and colleagues
* Ability to plan, design, read, interpret and supervise complex engineering projects and assignments.
Desirable
* Membership of Engineers Australia or equivalent.
* Chartered Professional Engineer or equivalent
* Registered Practising Engineer Queensland (RPEQ)
