An exciting opportunity exists for a part-time VPS4 Content Adviser to join the Content Strategy and Editorial team in the Communications Division.
As a Content Adviser you will:
1. Work with colleagues across the Communications Division to ensure content supports communication strategies, communication plans and other key messages
2. Produce a range of content to support communication objectives, including web pages, articles, social media posts, messages from leaders, invitations, speeches and other promotional material
3. Produce a range of content to support Departmental processes and governance, including briefings, reports, correspondence, guidelines and publications
4. Write and edit content to ensure it meets its purpose and is engaging for the target audience
5. Support the development of communication action plans for the Division's campaigns and promotional activities
6. Actively participate in cross-functional teams working to implement the Department's communication projects
7. Build, edit, publish and archive content for the Department's digital channels, including webpages
8. Ensure content meets digital standards and has relevant approvals
9. Use digital expertise and excellent writing skills to drive engagement through the Department's channels
10. Review analytics and insights to improve content for audiences and channels
11. Contribute to review and planning activities that support the continuous improvement of digital channels
12. Guide others in the development of communications
13. Support others in the Division's processes relating to the content management lifecycle, including planning, creation, publishing, review, maintenance and expiry
14. Provide advice across a range of Division activities, projects and campaigns to ensure a coordinated approach to content
15. Build understanding of, and capability to produce, high quality content
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
Relevant tertiary qualification in communications, journalism and/or equivalent professional experience
