The company’s two major projects are the Cloncurry Copper Project, Wallace North (Cloncurry) and the Mt Oxide Project (140km north of Mt Isa).We are currently seeking a Health Safety & Training Advisor for our Cloncurry Copper Project at Great Australia Mine (GAM). If you would like to work for a fast-growing and thriving copper and critical minerals mining company in a collaborative and welcoming environment, we want to hear from you.The Role:We currently have two (2) roles available FIFO from Brisbane:Full-time permanent role.Full-time fixed-term contract until October 2025.The Safety & Training Advisor role is to ensure that daily processing & mining activities occur in a safe, productive & cost-efficient manner. You will work closely with all departments towards continuous safe & efficient production.Key responsibilities:Attend prestart meetings to promote Health & Safety awareness across site.Contribute to a healthy working environment through an understanding of available staff support services such as the “Employee Assistance Program”.Demonstrate expert knowledge and skills to generate and promote a positive safety and health culture.Perform Fitness for Work testing as required.Review onboarding and periodic medicals as required.Actively support the Emergency Response through the development and delivery of training packages to site personnel based on the training plan content.Maintain the site hazardous substance register.Deliver site inductions as required.Assist in all areas of Return-to-Work Coordination.Demonstrate behaviours aligned with the True North Copper values.Maintain a positive attitude towards safety in the workplace and increase safety awareness, implement safety training and promotions, and set an example for others.Ensure compliance and readiness of all ER and health equipment.Actively promote the site safety and training procedures and processes at all times, including intervention when a breach is occurring.Provide and deliver training for site-specific competencies.Maintain a training register for contractors and employees.Provide training on the safety and health management system.Audit site plans, procedures, and SWI’s to effectively align with site processes.Update & maintain company safety systems, INC, Sitepass.To be successful you will need to have:3 years + experience in a similar role (desirable).Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40116).Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety.Certificate in Pathology Collection (Drug and Alcohol) or equivalent (desirable).Hold a current C class valid QLD Drivers licence.Ability to undertake a Pre-employment medical & D&A screening in line with RSHQ requirements.National police check.What we offer:Flights, meals, and accommodation are provided at the site camp with bus transport to and from GAM, Cloncurry.Employee Assistance Program.Generous salary packages.Family-friendly lifestyle roster.How to apply:True North Copper Ltd is committed to our mission to earn the trust of all our employees, partners, businesses, and stakeholders through the safe and responsible development of the region’s natural copper resources and to recruiting and retaining the best people for the job.It is important to prepare an application that represents you and what you offer.
