The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Officer Supply to join the team on a residential basis in our Geraldton office. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and managing all warehouse stock. This includes the procurement of all spare parts and general consumables at the Export Terminal.
To be successful in the role, the following is essential:
Demonstrated experience in warehousing facilities.
Ability and knowledge using MS Office Suite and SAP logistic management and reporting.
LF Forklift Truck and WA ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence.
Previous experience in inventory stocktakes is highly desirable.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to hold an MISC to enter the port facilities.
Key Duties:
Ensure all statutory and organisational OSH&E policies and requirements are adhered to.
Establish and maintain good working relationships with all internal and external departments.
Monitor, measure, communicate and report on issues or business risks identified with parts procurement and delivery.
Identify, implement and communicate improvement opportunities in all workplace areas.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure company plans and targets are achieved.
Comply with strategic annual plans and budgets for the maintenance environment.
Actively engage in meetings and planning discussions to improve hazard awareness and safety.
Role model safe work practices and positive safety leadership to others in your job.
About Karara Mining
Located 200 km south-east of Geraldton in the Shire of Perenjori, Western Australia, Karara has an expected mine life of 30+ years. The operation includes a large open pit mine, complex ore processing and beneficiation plant, and significant infrastructure and logistics networks. As part of the logistics network, Karara owns and operates 80 km of railway between Tilley Junction and the Karara mine site, linking the Karara Export Terminal at the Port of Geraldton, able to handle up to 16 Mtpa of export product from a dedicated berth, with associated rail and train unloading infrastructure.
