The Opportunity
Exceptional opportunity for an experienced Senior Commercial Analyst to join the B2B Food team on a 12 months secondment. This is a role with full end to end accountability, working within a supportive, diverse team that promotes autonomy and flexibility. Reporting to the General Manager Finance, Woolworths Food Company and the key finance business partner for the Australian Grocery Wholesalers (AGW) business, you will enjoy the dynamic nature of this startup with the support of the Woolworths Group. You will be part of a small, agile team within the Woolworths group and working in an agile and entrepreneurial environment.
What you'll do
Responsible for driving a range of assignments including but not limited to reviewing business performance, generating commercial insights and managing business forecasts.
You will:
Partner with the AGW business team to deliver insightful analysis and commercial recommendations to enable the business to make critical decisions Evaluate capex spend and business cases for various projects Analyse B2B Food P&L and Balance Sheet Deliver customer/profit reporting and analytics through to business strategy Lead and deliver the annual budget and monthly forecasts. Produce monthly reports and support for relevant reporting packs
About You
Finance related degree and/or working towards a professional qualification (CPA or CA equivalent) A self starter with 5+ years in a finance role, ideally within FMCG, retail or wholesale Experience in core systems, GCP and SAP Strong ability to communicate financial data to a broad audience and tell a clear story Exceptional stakeholder management and relationship building skills Strong analytical skills and commercial insights, strong attention to detail Comfortable with ambiguity that comes with working within an ever changing business
