Fixed term part-time (0.5 FTE) position for 10 months. Join the School of Allied Health Science and Practice as a Simulation Technician. The School of Allied Health Science and Practice offers four-year undergraduate occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and speech pathology programs, all of which contain contemporary simulation-based education. Simulated learning and placement experiences are held within the school's purpose-built teaching spaces equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and technology. Hundreds of allied health students will participate in simulation-based education and assessment each year, providing them with the requisite training and clinical skills to progress to their final placement experiences.
The Simulation Technician provides support to the School of Allied Health Science and Practice to deliver simulation-based inter-professional training designed to enhance safety and quality in healthcare delivery. This role will work collaboratively within a diverse interdisciplinary and inter-professional team. The Simulation Technician works strategically and operationally to ensure the environment, AV technologies, and equipment are well prepared to enable high-quality teaching to meet defined learning outcomes for our students.
To be successful you will need: Demonstrated experience working in the healthcare setting, ideally multidisciplinary involvement within Allied Health.Experience in information management, including competency across the full Microsoft Office suite of programs.Willingness to learn IT systems and networks in a healthcare context.Demonstrated experience communicating, both verbally and in writing, in a succinct, professional, and responsive manner to deliver client-centric results.Demonstrated knowledge of stock control using a database coupled with strong administrative skills.Demonstrated experience in managing multiple tasks with competing deadlines.Ability to develop and implement processes and plans to achieve defined outcomes and solve problems in an innovative and creative manner.Enjoy an outstanding career environment We offer a uniquely rewarding workplace.
