About the role
We are currently seeking passionate, motivated and energetic Cooks to join the Catering team on a permanent or casual basis with an immediate start! This is your chance to create memorable guest experiences through supporting the Catering Supervisor and Catering Chef to prepare and deliver exceptional high-quality food and assist the day-to-day kitchen operations. In addition to guest satisfaction, this role will involve overseeing hygiene, cleanliness and general safety in food preparation areas and assist with the delivery.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Preparation of menu, ensuring high quality and guest satisfaction;
· Safe packing of food for on-water experiences;
· Overseeing hygiene, cleanliness and general safety of all staff working in food preparation areas;
· Cleaning of kitchen, storerooms and kitchenware.
About you:
The successful candidate will be flexible to work at various times throughout the day, either early mornings or afternoon starts with late finishes n our off-site catering facility. The ideal candidate will have a true passion for high quality food with a real commitment to delivering the best standards of food, ensuring our guests leave with lasting memories! You have an energy that’s dynamic and you have fun when you work! To be successful in this role, you will have/be:
· Commercial cooking and knife skills;
· Be highly self-motivated, with great energy - A real multi-tasker;
· High level attention to detail;
· Have proven ability to work autonomously and part of a team;
· Ability to work flexible hours including weekends.
· Ability to manage time effectively, especially under pressure
· Excellent communication skills for interacting with staff in the kitchen and on water.
Requirements
· Minimum 2 years experience in a similar position, preferably with bulk food preparation experience;
· Commercial Cookery qualifications will be highly regarded
· Valid Driver Licence
· HLTAID011 Provide first aid
· HLTAID015 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy
