The Cardiac Technician will support the sonographer and assist in the efficient delivery of patient services. The Cardiac Technician will perform basic clinical tasks prior to electrocardiogram (ECG) procedures including, but not limited to, recording patient height and weight, confirming patient details, medication checks, and taking blood pressure readings. The incumbent will also be responsible for performing and preparing patients for a range of cardiac tests as required.Principal ResponsibilitiesThe principal responsibilities of the incumbent are to provide sound clinical support to doctors, sonographers, patients, and their families and other visitors to the Practice by performing the following:Understanding and following WH&S requirements, including the maintenance of a safe environment for colleagues, patients, and other visitors to the Practice at all times.Confirming patient details prior to consultation or ECG procedures commencing.Collecting basic patient information such as height, weight, and blood pressure prior to echocardiogram procedures being performed.Preparing patients for echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms.Conducting cardiac tests including ECG and stress testing.Attending to patients requiring a holter monitor and/or ambulatory blood pressure monitoring.Interpreting the results of stress tests and holter monitors and where required by the sonographer, assisting with writing required reports.All other duties as required by the Practice.Salary: Variable depending on experience.Job Type: Part-timePay: $35.00 – $38.00 per hourExpected hours: 15 per weekSchedule:Day shiftWork Location: In person#J-18808-Ljbffr
