Who are we looking for?
GHD is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior HSE Business Partner to join our team in Hobart. Your role is pivotal in supporting GHD’s Tasmanian operations and you will develop and execute strategies to protect the health, safety, and welfare of our staff, clients and contractors.
You’ll be an integral part of our regional HSE hub for Southern Australia, and your expertise will support a broad range of projects and other operational areas, including those in water, transport and environment, ensuring compliance with GHD management systems.
Working autonomously as the face of our HSE team for Tasmania, this position offers a great variety of work opportunities, and will see you involved in:
1. Implementing, supporting and ensuring compliance with GHD’s HSE Management System for our Tasmania region
2. Managing Health and Safety (ISO 45001) and Environmental (ISO 14001) certification processes
3. Collaborating with business leaders and project managers, influencing and driving cultural change and improvement
4. Engaging with operations, and strategic planning to bring HSE best practices into our business
What you will bring to the team.
5. Qualifications in safety, health, and environment or a related field, preferably with an Advanced Diploma in OHS or Diploma
6. 10+ years’ experience in a similar role from an industrial or corporate setting, including site safety experience
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with, and influence business leaders and project managers
8. Proven experience in implementing and managing HSE management systems
9. Strong knowledge of relevant HSE legislation and regulations
