About the Role As an Aged Care Home & Community Assistant, you will be providing personalised support to older Australians who reside around Canberra & Surrounding Suburbs. This is a casual opportunity with short shifts, that are often back to back with no weekend or sleepover shifts as working hours are predominantly between 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday with occasional afternoon hours until 9pm. You are required to travel as you will support multiple clients a day within their home. Key Responsibilities Domestic assistance such as meal preparation and light house cleaning Community access to medical appointments and social activities Personal Care including grooming and showering Supporting with tasks and routines Build positive relationships with clients Skills & Experience Passionate about making a positive impact in our ageing community Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability or similar) is required An Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle with minimum third-party insurance. Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment) Successful candidates will be required to undertake relevant pre-employment checks to ensure the safety of our clients.
