This role is based in Cheltenham, Melbourne, and is well supported by a high-performing team of Estimators and Sales professionals. You will focus on understanding customer needs, quoting, and collaboratively closing the sale. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will need to interpret architectural plans and liaise with both existing and prospective customers to provide quality advice that facilitates the sale and repeat business.Major responsibilities include but are not limited to:Lead the national team of estimators to ensure excellence in work output.Proactively source new customers and new projects to quote.Action inbound leads, customer RFI and RFQs without letting any major opportunities fall through the cracks.Contribute to achieving sales targets by working with the Sales Team to meticulously follow up quotes and close sales.Qualify leads.Maintain a close, regular & professional working relationship with existing & prospective customers to maximize ASSA ABLOY Door Group market share.Deliver excellence in customer service.Keep CRM up to date.Provide activity reports to the Sales Manager and Business Unit Managers.Attend Sales Meetings, Training Sessions, and other industry events as required.About YouTo be effective in this role, you must have some technical aptitude (you can read plans and understand how things come together), particularly in the construction environment. We are also seeking a real go-getter with energy, passion, and experience in solution-based selling. You must be proactive and confident to speak to customers in a B2B environment. A positive outlook, enthusiasm, and energy are essential, as is the ability to find solutions for customers and add value to the selling process.In addition, to be considered for this role, you must have the following:5 years+ of leadership and estimating experience.Understanding of construction materials, preferably in respect to the supply of frames – pressed metal, timber jambs, cavity sliding. Doors – Timber, fire rated, acoustic etc.Ability to understand and determine information from plans, specifications, and schedules.Customer service oriented.Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) to confidently communicate with management, clients, specifiers, and subcontractors.Strong attention to detail.Sound skills in the use of the Windows suite of tools.Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities.Excellent planning, time management, and prioritization skills.Previous experience in Manufacturing and Sales will be highly regarded.
