An opportunity has arisen for a Production Estimator to join our Hope Island Head Office, to work on our Land Lease Community projects across Queensland (encompassing Gold Coast, Brisbane and Sunshine Coast).
Stockland Halcyon Land Lease Communities (LLC) business continues to rapidly grow - these are lifestyle living communities for over 50s comprising of detached dwellings, clubhouses and recreational facilities (pools, bowling greens, etc).
We are open to considering if you already possess residential estimating experience OR are within the construction/home building or similar, in an administrative/coordination function and interested in moving into a career in estimating, as you will be provided with full training and support.
About the role Reporting to the Estimating Manager, this role will ensure overall timely and accurate delivery of BOQ Estimates whilst maintaining strong, ongoing relationships with all stakeholders.
Provide accurate data entry and administration of workflow activities through the proficient use of current construction software and systems Review Variation requests and modify the standard BOQ's accordingly to ensure accurate quantities of materials and trade rates are applied to each site.
Produce accurate orders to make sure that cost budgets are maintained, and overruns are kept to a minimum Analyse and interpret marked up plans, write ups and other documentation to ensure the Customer is getting what they are expecting Ensure constant review and analysis of the Estimating process, tools, and systems to enable continual improvement Maintain strong working relationships and remain up-to-date with relevant Stockland Halcyon teams (Housing, Construction, Sales and Operations) Maintain close working relationships with suppliers to ensure best pricing when undertaking contract and/or quote requests Provide accurate, up-to-date and relevant information and data to all stakeholders as required Meet pre-construction timeframe targets through successful management of personal workflows About you Residential building estimating experience OR currently in a customer support/administrative role within the construction/home building or similar industry, with solid administration/coordination experience Cert IV in Construction (or similar) would be beneficial but not essential Intermediate to advanced IT systems and Microsoft Office Suite skills In addition, if you have estimating experience: Ability to understand and interpret detailed construction plans and architectural drawings Ability to work to relevant codes and legislation with a thorough understanding of the residential building sector in Queensland Experience using Databuild, Bluebeam and Onsite would be beneficial, however, training will be provided The Stockland Proposition Stockland Halcyon is Australia's most awarded creator of lifestyle living communities across Southeast Queensland, Victoria, NSW and Western Australia.
