Teachers Assistant (Special Needs)
This is a temporary full-time position commencing as soon as possible and concluding 31 December 2025.
Selection Criteria
1. A clear commitment to the objectives and ethos of Catholic education.
2. Highly developed communication, listening and modelling skills.
3. A high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
4. Early childhood experience preferred.
5. The ability to work cooperatively with staff and to implement learning programs.
6. Possess sound literacy and numeracy skills.
7. Be positive and enthusiastic, and willing to work under the direction of the classroom teacher.
8. Creativity and initiative, and be able to develop a positive relationship with young children.
9. Willingness to engage in professional learning to improve skills.
10. Competency with the use of Information Technology to support children’s learning.
11. Flexibility to meet the needs of the children, staff and the College.
12. Current First Aid Certificate.
Qualifications Required
1. Certificate 3 or 4 in Education Support with Special Learning Needs.
2. Current Working with Children Check.
3. Cleared Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check obtained through the Department of Education only.
