Due to internal movement, we have an opportunity for a Development Manager role to join the Master Planned Communities team in Melbourne. This role with focus on a project located in the Western suburbs.
In this role you will drive profit centre performance by delivering project(s) within cash flow and profit return benchmarks while integrating and consistently delivering HSE and sustainability measures which support successful projects. In addition you will drive strong engagement with key stakeholders to ensure support for the Project Vision and agreed outcomes.
Working within a multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for leadership in driving the project strategy, with commercial acuity at the forefront.
Daily responsibilities include:
* Manage all aspects of project delivery, including development and operating expenditure, contracts, approvals, sales and marketing, risks, and opportunities in accordance with the approved LTF and maximise opportunities for improved returns.
* Drive the project teams to improve the customer experience along the customer journey and ensure professional and timely management of customer issues.
* Manage the strategy and implementation of various aspects of the sales and marketing process.
* Promote and role model Stockland's continued commitment to and leadership in sustainability and support the delivery of a community and environmental shared value proposition.
* Continually monitor market and competitor activity in relation to the direction and performance of the project, implementing product changes in conjunction with members of the cross functional project team when applicable to maintain competitiveness.
* Develop a team culture that delivers high value-add outputs and an environment where people excel.
* Lead/implement Residential Sustainability Policy at a project level and role modelling Stockland's continued commitment to and leadership in sustainability to all stakeholders.
* Conduct end of project/process review to identify strengths and areas for improvement, then integrate past experiences with innovative possibilities to business outcomes.
About You
* Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Property/Development and/or extensive relevant experience
* Experience managing teams with an adaptive leadership style that is collaborative
* Project, planning, cost and risk management expertise
* Development industry knowledge and expertise
* Exceptional stakeholder’s management and influencing skills
* Commercial acumen and significant forecasting and financial management
