About the role The successful incumbent will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial non-litigated matters and providing sound practical legal advice that reflects the commercial realities of the particular circumstances and is consistent with the TAC's overall corporate objectives.
About the Team You will be working alongside 7 other lawyers and will be a part of the Corporate Legal Team which is a very collaborative and close-knit team. You will be supported by a very hands-on Manager who promotes a flexible working culture.
What we're looking for Qualification: Bachelor of Laws or equivalent is required for this role as well as being entitled to or hold a current practising certificate and admitted as an Australian Lawyer. Proven experience: 3 – 5 years post-admission commercial (non-litigious) legal experience including advising on general commercial, health, property and marketing and communications legal experience with experience negotiating with third party suppliers. A working knowledge of the procurement framework as it applies to the Victorian Government public sector is also required. Collaboration & Communication: Proven experience in collaborating across multiple divisions and communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
