Network Planning Analyst (Contract Role)
Adelaide, South Australia
As a part of Sony Interactive Entertainment, PlayStation is leading the cloud gaming revolution, putting console-quality video games on any device; and the Network Planning team is at the forefront of planning for and building the global network that makes this possible. As an Analyst in the Network Planning team, you will contribute to the ongoing analysis and reporting of commercial and technical information relating to Sony’s global network. This includes the collection and synthesis of financial, contractual and networking data.
Responsibilities:
1. Gather network and commercial data and load into established databases.
2. Source, review and validate financial and commercial obligations from active contracts.
3. Analyse invoices related to the operation and maintenance of our network and communicate key findings.
4. Link invoice payments to contractual obligations and identify discrepancies.
5. Develop reports to summarise findings.
6. Work closely with other analysts to understand relationships between service agreements, invoices and the performance of the network.
7. Establish and contribute to documentation and reporting structures that support the continual review of the network.
8. Work closely with SIE stakeholders to identify business requirements and translate them into an actionable plans.
Requirements:
9. 3+ years of demonstrable experience in a technical procurement or technical business analyst capacity.
10. Highly proficient Excel spreadsheet skills.
11. Ability to understand networking principals and fundamentals.
12. Proven analytical abilities.
13. Practical experience generating process documentation and reports.
14. Proficiency with collaboration tools (e.g. Slack, Google Drive) and office management tools (e.g. Office365).
Desired Skills and Knowledge:
15. Familiarity with telecommunications and ISP service delivery.
16. Familiarity with digital media software and networking technologies, especially those related to Sony’s products, services, and devices.
17. Working knowledge of commercial data as it relates to contracts, budgets, service agreements and forecasts.
