We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Tool Repair Technician to join our growing team.The RoleWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Tool Repair Technician to join our growing team and the role can be located in either Melbourne or Brisbane. As a Tool Repair Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of plastic welding tools and machines. You will work closely with our service department to ensure our customers' equipment is functioning safely and efficiently. If you have a passion for mechanics, problem-solving, and working with your hands, this is the perfect opportunity for you!Key duties and responsibilities include: Perform troubleshooting and repairs on a variety of tools, including power tools, hand tools and industrial equipment.Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic issues in tools and provide accurate estimates for repairs.Conduct routine maintenance and preventative care on tools and equipment.Maintain detailed records of all repair work, parts used and time spent.Ensure all repairs meet company standards for safety and quality.Assist with inventory management and ordering parts as needed.Provide excellent customer service, addressing any questions or concerns regarding tool repairs.Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organised work environment.About youYour experience and skills include: Proven experience in tool repair or a similar technical field.Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in tools and equipment.Ability to diagnose issues quickly and efficiently.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.Basic computer skills for record-keeping and part ordering.Technical certification or training in tool repair is a plus.Preferred Skills: Experience with both power tools and industrial machinery.Previous experience working in a repair shop or related industry.Certification in tool repair or mechanical/electrical fields is a plus.What We Offer: Competitive salary with opportunities for advancement.Training and professional development opportunities.A positive, collaborative work environment.Free on-site parking.
