We have an exciting opportunity for ten full time Registered Nurses to join the clinical teams at Southern Cross Care's Residential Aged Care Homes in Broken Hill, New South Wales.
Broken Hill is a frontier mining town in the far west of New South Wales, in the Australian outback. About the role
In this role you will join a team of highly skilled compassionate Registered Nurses in providing excellence in clinical care for our residents. You will work under the leadership of an experienced Clinical Manager to deliver advanced clinical and holistic care to our residents. Providing support and supervision to your team members, you will champion a strong teamwork approach to resident’s care. You will liaise with medical practitioners, family and other multi-disciplinary team members ensuring excellence in personalised care. Most importantly, compassion and empathy accompany your clinical talent, alongside building relationships with our residents based on dignity and respect.
What will you bring to the role?
* You will be a Registered Nurse with a current AHPRA registration
* You will have a strong clinical focus with the ability to provide a high level of holistic support that best suits the individual
* Knowledge of chronic conditions, palliative and dementia care (desired)
* You are dedicated to caring for older people to live their best lives
* You enjoy working in a team environment
* Excellent communication skills
* You must hold the right to work in Australia.
Who is Southern Cross Care Queensland?
Southern Cross Care (SCC) is a Catholic not-for-profit organisation established by the Knights of the Southern Cross, more than 40 years ago. They saw a need to provide compassionate care and inclusive service to some of the most vulnerable, the ageing population, in the community.
Since then, SCC has grown to employ over 1300 staff caring for and supporting more than 2000 people across 13 residential aged care homes, 5 retirement villages, 28 social houses, the National Disability and Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and home care services in metropolitan and rural Queensland. From July 1st 2024 Southern Cross Care QLD has committed to helping Southern Cross Care Broken Hill manage all their services.
