An exciting opportunity to join our Compliance and Enforcement team as a Senior Technical Advisor, Plumbing. This role provides expert technical advice to drive operational outcomes.
The Senior Technical Advisor, Plumbing reports to the Manager, Technical Advice, working closely with Regulatory Operations and other business units, particularly the Office of the State Building Surveyor (OSBS), to provide technical advice on Plumbing Inspection activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide expert technical advice on building regulatory frameworks, including the Building Act 1993, Plumbing Regulations 2018, and National Construction Code.
* Liaise with stakeholders to deliver Plumbing Inspection activities and drive operational outcomes.
* Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of building industry regulations, codes, and standards in Victoria and other Australian jurisdictions.
* Prepare complex technical reports, briefing memoranda, stakeholder correspondence, and recommendations.
Requirements:
* Registered or qualified to gain registration in all classes of plumbing work under Part 12A of the Building Act 1993.
* Detailed knowledge and application of building regulatory frameworks, codes, regulations, and Government Policy in Victoria and/or other Australian jurisdictions.
* Experience providing quality technical advice to stakeholders.
* Well-developed written communication skills.
* Desirable: experience in other specialised classes of Plumbing, Inspector role within a municipal or private environment.
