An exciting opportunity has opened for a Contracts and Procurement Specialist position within our Pre-Contracts and Tendering team. This full-time role is based at our Victoria Park head office working Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:
* Source high quality products at the lowest possible price in accordance with the requirements of the Head Contract Tender utilising where practical local/indigenous industries
* Ensure all pricing is submitted formally and valid for the duration of the Head Contract Tender
* For complex or high-risk products/services, in conjunction with the Subcontracts team, manage the Requests for Tender process inclusive of participant selection, tender evaluation, short listing
* Ensure all key supply/ subcontract agreements are in place with secured pricing/ scope if the head contract is awarded
* Organise and chair key Subcontractor/supplier kick off meetings
* Work with the Subcontracts team to evaluate performance of suppliers/ subcontractor’s post completion to ensure any lessons learnt are incorporated into future tender processes
* Provide a ‘handover’ pack to the Project Team post Head Contract Award for all key suppliers/subcontractors used to determine awarded head contract price
What you’ll bring:
* Proven experience in a contract/procurement lead role, ideally in the Materials Handling, Process Plants, or Oil & Gas construction sector as a main contractor performing SMP and/or E&I scope.
* Experienced in Developing and managing requests for budget pricing and development of requests to tender (Complex, high risk procurement/service items)
* Be able to work with Tender schedulers to develop and manage to Procurement Letting Schedules
* Comprehensive knowledge of contracts, procurement, insurance, contract negotiation, and cost management processes
* Experience in order processing, financial management, contract administration, and managing works contracts
* Must be familiar with all aspects of procurement for mid to large Civil, SMPE&I projects
* Degree in Business, Law, Engineering or Quantity Surveying would be highly advantageous but not essential
* Site Construction / Engineering experience (desirable)
* Proof of right to work in Australia
