About the Role In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring a safe, reliable, and quality-focused environment for all facility users. You'll handle a range of maintenance tasks, perform critical electrical repairs, and support preventive maintenance across the site—all with a commitment to excellence in service. Working closely with the engineering team and contractors, you'll apply your knowledge and skills to help deliver safe and efficient solutions. Key Responsibilities Conduct electrical maintenance, inspections, and repairs for essential equipment and infrastructure. Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests, troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise to minimise downtime and maintain operational efficiency. Carry out preventative maintenance tasks according to established schedules, including monthly, quarterly, and six-month intervals. Ensure all work adheres to regulatory and safety standards. Contribute to facility improvement projects and ongoing maintenance initiatives. Support and assist in minor infrastructure projects as required. Qualifications & Experience Required Electrical trade qualification or over 5 years' experience in a facilities maintenance role. Experience in large complex facilities such as shopping centres, universities, health, power stations, and other critical infrastructure. Experience with BMS, chillers, UPS, and black start systems is required. Fit and active – you will be keeping fit by walking across the site responding to requests, and troubleshooting while at work! Current driver's license. A Grade electrical license (Unlimited electrical license as per Energy Safe Victoria). Austel license for telephone and cabling or willingness to obtain. Strong understanding of WHS regulations and safety procedures. Effective problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate across a range of levels and provide high customer service and satisfaction. Excellent time management and prioritisation skillsets.
