Chandler Macleod is seeking a Communications Advisor to provide strategic advice to a well-established NSW Government department on a contract basis for a period of three months.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies, managing media relations, and providing counsel to key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement communication plans to support the department's strategic objectives;
* Manage media relations and respond to inquiries from journalists and other stakeholders;
* Provide counsel to senior managers and other stakeholders on communication matters;
* Monitor and report on the effectiveness of communication strategies;
* Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to achieve communication goals.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in communications advisory roles within government or a similar environment;
* Strong understanding of communication principles and practices;
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
* Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels;
* Capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
