The Department of Health are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to join the Specialist Palliative Care Service NorthWest in Burnie.

The Registered Nurse - Specialist Palliative Care Service NorthWest:
1. Consistent with ongoing experience strengthens health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other health professionals within the defined community practice area.

The team:
The Specialist Palliative Care Service NorthWest is a community based consultative service, working across hospital, aged care and home settings. We are a diverse team, working across diverse communities and landscapes in NorthWest Tasmania. We service the main population centres of Devonport and Burnie, as well as taking in the rugged landscapes of the West Coast, King Island, Smithton and Sheffield.
The multidisciplinary team, which consists of medical, nursing and allied health staff, provide palliative care advice, education and support to healthcare providers in NorthWest Tasmania; and manages the care of referred palliative clients and their families when complex symptom management is required.
The Specialist Palliative Care Service also works closely with GPs and community nursing services to ensures an integrated palliative approach and better client identified outcomes.

Fixed term, casual, day worker position working as and when required, commencing ASAP.
2. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time and casual vacancies.
Salary: $43.82 - $60.51 per hour including casual loading + 11% superannuation + access to salary packaging
3. Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2019
