A rare opportunity has presented itself to appoint an experienced and strategic Senior Executive to the role of Chief Executive Officer on a 5 year contract reporting to and working in close collaboration with the Mayor, Council Members, Executive and Senior Leadership teams and employees.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and foster a culture of high performance and engagement, innovation, and transparency throughout the organisation consistent with the Town of Port Hedland's values of Unity, Quality and Integrity.
* General oversight of the delivery of services and operations of Council.
* Articulate a vision and sense of purpose aligned to Council's Strategic Plan.
* Community and stakeholder engagement.
* Provide leadership in the execution and delivery of major projects.
* Oversee the asset and infrastructure management plan.
* Ensure financial performance and sustainability.
* Comply with the governance and legislated requirements of Council.
* Maintain the Economic Development and Tourism strategy.
* Ensure a safe workplace environment.
* Provide sound and trusted advice to the Mayor and Council Members.
Work Related Requirements:
* National Police Clearance.
* Current 'C' class driver's licence.
* Rights to work in Australia.
