Aboriginal Practice Leader - Mildura
Lead, empower, and drive cultural safety in family services!
Tradewind Australia is seeking an Aboriginal Practice Leader to join a specialist team in Mildura. This role is crucial in providing culturally safe, expert leadership in family violence services, child and family services, and perpetrator interventions.
You will support the Hub workforce by offering practice leadership, secondary consultations, and strengthening cultural safety across the sector. This is an exciting opportunity to shape service delivery and ensure Aboriginal families receive inclusive and culturally responsive support.
What You'll Do
1. Provide expert advice and practice leadership on Aboriginal cultural safety in service delivery
2. Offer secondary consultations to internal and external stakeholders
3. Support culturally safe interventions in family violence, child and family services, and perpetrator responses
4. Build cultural competence within the Hub workforce and partner organisations
5. Strengthen relationships with Aboriginal communities and ensure self-determination is central to practice

SCHADS Level 6.3 - $110,907 + Super

About You
1. Identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander (Identified Role)
2. Strong understanding of Aboriginal culture, history, and the impact of intergenerational trauma
3. Experience in family violence, child and family services, or perpetrator interventions
4. Ability to provide practice leadership and specialist consultations
5. Committed to cultural safety and Aboriginal self-determination
