South West Local Learning and Employment Network Inc. – Warrnambool VIC Since 2002, South West Local Learning and Employment Network Inc (South West LLEN) has been working with schools, businesses, and communities across the region to ensure that young people are supported to aspire and achieve the very best possible education, training and employment outcomes. The aim of South West LLEN is to improve outcomes for young people, by increasing opportunities for their participation, attainment and successful transition to education, training, or employment. BACKGROUND Project Ready (Certificate II in Active Volunteering) is designed to provide holistic assistance and direction to a wide range of senior school students, helping them engage with their education and prepare them for their future worlds of work. It supports students who have not identified a preferred career or study path and assists them to develop work readiness skills for future training and workforce opportunities. Project Ready is a full-year VET program mapped against Certificate II in Active Volunteering and delivered by a skilled trainer who holds a current Certificate IV Training and Assessment qualification. PURPOSE & AIMS: Based in Warrnambool, the Project Ready facilitator will be responsible for delivering the program curriculum in an engaging, inspiring and motivational manner. The aim for the facilitator is to guide, mentor and coach students through the Project Ready journey and support students to develop the skills set out in the program. Project Ready (Certificate II in Active Volunteering) aims to: Help students discover their passions and strengths Build self-worth, well-being skills and resilience through personal development activities Help students understand possible training and job pathways through a range of career development and industry engagement activities Guide students in work-readiness skills Help students understand project management, enterprise and entrepreneurial skills REMUNERATION: The role will be paid as a casual under the SCHADS award Level 4 pay-point 1: $53-85 per hour. Employment will be for 35 weeks at 9.5 hours per week (this is inclusive of course delivery hours of approx. 4.75 hours on Thursdays for 33 weeks). 19 hours of pre-course activities including training is being allowed for prior to the commencement of the course delivery.
