Join our team in January as a Project Scheduler! Manage the master portfolio schedule and track milestones across all programs and projects in the portfolio of the Program Management office.
Responsibilities include:
* Support project managers in defining discreet packages of work packs with task specific information for execution and scheduling
* Proactively track and report on progress against schedule including critical path, delays, dependency management, and lead items required for project tasks
* Provide proactive reporting on the status of the resource pool including net capacity and demand, upcoming skill gaps that need filling, over-allocations, and the impact on resourcing of delays in projects.
* Planning and execution of weekly schedule planning meetings.
* Produce business process KPI reports and time confirmation reports.
* Record and report on relevant project financials as required
* Provide information in relation to scheduled and unscheduled activities to project managers and Heads of Office.
* Develop and maintain labour forecasts for routine maintenance and project activities.
* Attend planning and scheduling meetings with to support the setting of priorities and resource levelling.
* Act as a point of liaison with the client master scheduler to ensure that the status of NEC and Client dependent tasks are kept up to date.
Skills and experience:
* Extensive experience using scheduling tools and knowledge of common planning, scheduling, and resource management techniques including Critical Path analysis, Resource Levelling and Estimate to complete (ETC) and Earned value reporting
* Expert user level experience with Enterprise Project Management Software (Clarity, Project Server, Primavera, etc.)
* Expert user level experience with Microsoft Projects
* Keen analytical eye for detail and the ability to identify weaknesses in schedule design and setup
* Assertiveness and ability to build rapport with a wide range of stakeholders at different levels
* Experience with facilitation of planning workshops to assess team objectives and interdependencies across the program
* Reporting of status, deliverable progress, risks, issues and constraints as required
* Intermediate to Advanced MS Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Experience with use of Fortes Principal Toolbox enterprise project management software highly desirable
* Recent experience working on large transformation programs in the private or Government section highly regarded
* Ability to learn independently and grasp new technical fields quickly.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to multitask and deal with conflicting priorities
* Exceptional organisational skills
* Resilience and the ability to operate in a challenging uncertain environment
