Our Bathurst Plant is at the heart of our operations, and we are looking for a dedicated and experienced Manufacturing Manager to join our team. The Role: As the Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the production operations at our Bathurst Plant, specifically focusing on CTS and Componentry Systems. Your role will involve the day-to-day implementation and execution of Lean-based continuous improvement initiatives. You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure processes are optimized, ensuring high-quality products are manufactured efficiently and delivered to our customers on time. You will also play a key role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement by engaging shop floor personnel in sustainable actions that add value to the production process through effective and efficient utilization of time and resources. This will be a 40-hour week. The site plant operates Monday – Thursday 6am – 4pm, with Friday used as an overtime day when required. The hours for this role will be flexible and negotiable. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage production personnel to achieve agreed production outcomes through consultative and inclusive management techniques. Implement and maintain processes and procedures that ensure safety, quality, and efficiency in all production activities. Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including production staff, suppliers, customers, and management. Monitor production progress and ensure all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met. Contribute to employee evaluations, recruitment, and development to ensure a highly skilled and engaged workforce. About You: You are a dynamic and results-driven professional with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar Manufacturing / Production Manager role. Your experience in manufacturing operations, particularly in the building materials industry, and your practical knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles will be crucial to your success in this role. You have excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to manage and motivate a team to achieve outstanding results. Qualifications & Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Production or Manufacturing Manager in a similar role. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of ASW and BPCS systems (desirable). Experience in the building materials industry (desirable). Proven track record of implementing continuous improvement projects. Strong understanding of OH&S regulations and experience in implementing safety initiatives. Why Join Us?
