The opportunity Our client is a large federal government agency. They are seeking an EL1 Senior CIAM Software Engineer to drive the implementation and optimisation of Customer Identity and Access Management solutions. This is a long-term contracting opportunity in a growing team. 12 month contract plus 12 month extension, excellent daily rates negotiable Richmond or Geelong based, with 3 days in the office per week Requires Australian citizenship and a security clearance (NV1 preferred) The role You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and optimisation of customer identity and access management (CIAM) solutions tailored to external users within an Azure and AWS Cloud environment. Responsibilities of the roles may include but are not limited to: Help lead the implementation and optimization of a major customer identity and access management (CIAM) project, focusing on external and customer user registration, authentication, authorization and user profile management Work independently on competing and often urgent tasks to achieve agency CIAM outcomes Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into effective CIAM configurations Configure and manage CIAM features, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and security best practices Optimize the CIAM solution for scalability, performance and user experience, leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies Prioritize building automations and integrations to enhance CIAM capabilities and streamline user interactions About you To be considered for these roles you will need: Strong experience and expertise in designing, implementing and optimizing customer identity and access management solutions Cybersecurity and IDAM experience, and experience with CIAM products such as Auth0, Okta, ForgeRock, Ping, and Akamai, or equivalent Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively Ability to lead and mentor junior staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment Experience working within project management frameworks, the tools, and phases of the project lifecycle Please note that our client is a federal government department and they can only consider applicants who are Australian Citizens who hold or are able to obtain an NV1 security clearance.
