Join our State Government client as a Store Officer! We're looking for an enthusiastic individual to manage the day-to-day operations and security of a Regional Inventory Store (Karratha). In this role, you'll also supervise sub-stores across the region and deliver top-notch E-Procurement services. Tasks include:
Occupational Safety & Health
1. Acknowledge and adhere to corporate occupational health and safety policies and procedures in order to ensure personal and group safety.
2. Proactively identify, correct and report hazards in accordance with Corporate procedures.
3. Actively participate in safe job planning, team meetings and workplace inspections.
4. Adhere to Dangerous Goods Standards for the storage and issue of dangerous goods required by legislation and/or Water Corporation policies.
Process Management
5. Adhere to Procurement & Property Branch Policy, Standards and Guidelines regarding Materials Management and the use of e-Procurement.
6. Effectively communicate with other stakeholders regarding the movement and/or availability of stock.
7. Operation of Regional and Sub –Store(s), Regional Inventory Store
8. Process relevant paper/computer documentation in a timely manner (as specified in Material Management Standards.
9. Load/unload stock and non-stock items.
10. Receive goods and check against order or manifest.
11. Ensure stock on shelves is rotated (FI-FO) and shelf life observed.
12. Ensure MSDS’s are delivered with goods, available and distributed as required. Create Stock Requisitions as required.
13. Conduct periodical minimum of 3 stock takes per annum & identify and reconcile discrepancies.
14. Assist Independent Inventory Auditors as required.
15. Maintain housekeeping of Store and associated compound.
16. Manage small plant and specialist safety equipment assignment, including ensuring appropriate fuel supply, as required
17. Liaise with other Stores personnel to arrange inter-store transfers as required.
18. Monitor stock levels and recommend changes to improve operations performance.
19. Participate in improvements to related work practices and procedures.
20. Communicate new Material Master Records which become available via upgrades to the Corporation’s Materials Catalogue and arrange extensions to Storage Locations (SLOC’s) as required by managers and supervisors.
21. Build stores management capability of others as required.
22. Notify personnel of special request goods received in Store.
23. Identify surplus/scrap items for disposal & recommend to Operations Manager.
24. Recover surplus direct charge MMR items from within the Region and arrange Stores Credit Notes (SCN’s) as per agreed procedures.
25. Prepare vehicle stock replenishment packs for collection by operators. Sub Stores (includes vehicles)
26. Monitor the operation of Sub-stores and identify & recommend improvements to work practices and processes.
27. Provide functional supervision and advice to Operations Assistants/District Stores Operators regarding stores management and procurement policy, standards and guidelines.
28. Receive and process Goods Issue Dockets from Sub Stores.
29. Purchase non-stock items for Sub Stores as required.
30. Monitor sub-store and mobile store (vehicles) stock and re-order levels and adjust as required.
Organise Transportation
31. Arrange delivery of stock items to other locations using preferred supplier.
32. Complete relevant paperwork for transportation of Dangerous Goods.
E-Procurement Services
33. Obtain quotations/pricing of non-stock items as required.
34. Raise shopping carts for non-stock items and services and confirm invoices for payment.
35. Purchase goods/materials utilising e-Procurement in accordance with Guidelines for Procurement.
36. Act as the primary district liaison for Procurement & Property Branch related to purchasing and stores matters.
37. Liaise with Team Leader/Schedulers & field crews to deliver required stock and non-stock items in a timely manner.
38. Attend Commitment Meeting and receive assignment of goods from planning meetings.
39. Develop good networks with Procurement & Property Branch and other Storepersons.
40. Attend daily review meetings with Operations Manager & Team Leaders.
41. Highlight abnormal use of stores issues to relevant CABS & Operations Managers.

SKILLS EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES:
Qualifications and Experience
46. Considerable experience in Stores or Warehouse operations
47. Relevant experience in chemical handling
48. Relevant experience in providing administration, business or customer service support.
49. Relevant experience in the use of inventory management systems and PC based information systems (e.g. – SAP MM, SAP PM, e-Procurement and Microsoft Office).
50. High Risk Licence – Forklift Truck
51. C Class (Manual) Licence
52. Construction Card (blue or white card)
