Key requirements:
1. Working collaboratively with Database Administration and Network Administration members as needed
2. Working collaboratively with Cyber Security and Infrastructure Architect team members
3. Responding to abnormal server/system states and returning to normal operation
4. Ensuring sufficient capacity for systems to perform to functional requirements
5. Proactively administering servers to ensure reliable operation during business hours
6. Supporting processes and procedures that maintain Disaster Readiness (dedicated DR site)
7. Performing vulnerability management activities ("patching")
8. Assisting with the platform and server upgrade programme
9. Supporting team-level scripts and processes written in PowerShell
10. Maintaining Infrastructure-oriented documentation as needed
Ideal experience required:
11. Extensive experience across a diverse wide-area-network implementation of servers, storage and systems
12. Experience with cloud principles and implementation
13. Experience with vulnerability minimisation and mitigation
14. Experience in supporting and administering physical and virtualised Windows servers (W2K12 through W2K22)
15. Experience in supporting and administering virtualised Linux servers (RHEL, Oracle Linux, SUSE)
16. Experience in using Data Centre virtualisation via VMware ESX
17. Experience in supporting and administering Windows and Linux servers running as Azure IaaS
