You will have a cyber security engineering focus and also be participating in incident response, digital forensics, cyber security engineering, and acting as a cyber-security technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for projects. You will be responsible for ensuring the organisation's strong cyber security posture is maintained through a number of proactive and reactive programs of work.Key responsibilities include:Operate as a cyber-security technical SME for both unclassified and classified environmentsReview, build, maintain, and mature cyber security capabilities to ensure the company is protected against existing and developing threatsParticipate in incident response, forensic reviews, and internal investigationsParticipate in internal/ external cyber security forums and exercisesWork with other cyber security streams and other business units to ensure cyber security operational requirements are being metIdentify cyber security gaps within our environment and undertake remediation activities to resolve such gapsAbout YOUDemonstrated experience with Microsoft cloud security technologies (Defender/Sentinel etc), including design, configuration, and maintenanceDemonstrated experience working in cyber security engineering, incident response, and/or digital forensicsDetailed understanding of hacker tools, techniques and proceduresDetailed understanding and experience with cyber security technologies such as AV, EDR, SIEM, Email and Web proxies, and Vulnerability ScannersExperience in IT fundamentals such as systems administration and networkingGood understanding of Information security manual (ISM) and other global Industry security standards (NIST, ISO, PCI DSS, etc.) relating to ICT SecurityGood understanding of programming/ scripting in languages such as Bash/ Python/ PowerShellGood understanding of cyber security orchestration/ automationA degree in ICT/ Engineering or equivalent experienceProfessional Cyber Security certifications such as those from Offensive Security or SANS an advantageStrong verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated collaboration skills, analysis skills, critical thinking and problem solvingDefence security clearance or eligibility to obtainEligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulationsWe believe in hiring for potential, we know that some candidates hesitate if they don't tick all the boxes.
