About the role
The Senior Strategic Planner is responsible for leading and developing complex planning and design strategies, policies and programs to manage urban growth and infrastructure planning that improves the performance of Council’s built and natural environment through centre revitalisation, urban renewal and urban edge projects that achieve Council initiatives on social, urban design, heritage and transport planning. The position of Senior Strategic Planner is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Bachelor's degree in Town Planning / Urban Design / Built Environment / Environment Planning / Architecture / Landscape Architecture or related field OR demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role, combined with ongoing professional development
* Demonstrated experience in development and managing environmental strategies, open space and land use planning studies, and/or environmental management plans
* Proven experience in writing policy and planning controls to guide environmentally responsible development
* Recent exposure in providing technical advice for input into urban planning strategies and development plans
Other important information
* The salary range for this position ranges between $99k - $119k plus 11.5% Superannuation plus Private Leaseback Vehicle
* This is a Permanent Full Time role.
* This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight.
* We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role.
* This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building.
