We are seeking a skilled Licensed Land Surveyor on behalf of a respected consultancy based in Melbourne’s inner Eastern suburbs. This consultancy is looking for a motivated, project-focused surveyor with strong experience in cadastral and infrastructure surveying. This role is ideal for a surveyor driven by hands-on project work over team management, keen to make an impact across a range of diverse and technically challenging projects.
About the Role:
* Responsibilities:
o Conduct cadastral, engineering, topographical, and building set-out surveys
o Prepare and supervise calculations, drawings, field notes, and reports, ensuring accuracy and detail
o Oversee and sign off on subdivision plans, maintaining a high standard of work across all deliverables
o Act as a mentor, providing guidance to surveyors in training and supporting their professional development
o Maintain project files, drawing registers, document control systems, and Quality Assurance documents
* Additional Duties:
o Oversee invoicing for completed work, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
o Manage and maintain survey equipment, ensuring all resources are available, calibrated, and in optimal condition for project requirements
o Prepare fee proposals, estimating resources and timeframes for project scopes, and manage project budgets and timelines
o Communicate progress regularly with both management and clients, ensuring clear and consistent updates
o Support project administration, such as planning permit applications, certification processes, and compliance follow-ups
About You:
* Demonstrated expertise in cadastral surveying and larger infrastructure projects (e.g., DTP-type work)
* Strong consulting skills, with the ability to advise and communicate effectively with clients and internal teams
* Proven ability in cost management, efficient time management, and quality assurance practices on projects
* Motivated by project involvement and technical challenges rather than team management responsibilities
* Proven local experience
Why Join?
* Work with a highly regarded consultancy known for its quality and precision
* Engage in a variety of projects, from cadastral to large-scale infrastructure surveys
* Attractive remuneration and a supportive, development-focused environment
