About the Role
As an integral part of the school’s Christian wellbeing and support program, you will work with students, families, and school staff to enhance safety, recovery, relationships, and resilience for our students’ social, emotional, and educational wellbeing.
In this role you will:
1. Provide counselling to students, including those with high level mental health concerns.
2. Deliver high level advice and proactivity in supporting learning and teaching to improve student learning outcomes.
3. Provide guidance, advice, and support to the Director of Student Wellbeing to manage and deliver wellbeing strategies.
4. Provide guidance, advice, and support to Executive staff in the management of complex issues.
5. Build the capability of teachers to work with students with a range of needs and behaviours.
6. Balance the delivery of assessments and interventions, and be part of managing complex cases.
You will have a diploma, graduate or post-graduate qualification in psychology, social work, counselling or a related field and be eligible for registration with the relevant professional organisation. Experience in an educational setting would be highly regarded.

1. A sharp, research-informed progressive vision of providing counselling or support and the capacity to create a rich and invigorating environment in a Christian learning community of excellence.
2. A gifted, dynamic professional with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the developmental and educational needs of students and a passion for working with children.
3. Excellent academic qualifications and subject knowledge.
4. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and a willingness to relate with compassion, humility, grace, strength and integrity to students, families and staff.
