Coordinate the design and development of comprehensive learning and performance initiatives at Melbourne Airport!
We currently have an exciting opportunity of Learning and Development Specialist to join our amazing Learning and Capability team on 12-month fixed term maternity leave cover contract.
The role will be responsible for supporting the development, delivery, and coordination of effective learning activities for Operations and other Melbourne Airport team members.
With the aviation and travel sector booming in 2023, on top of major projects that will underpin the future growth and development of Melbourne Airport and Victoria as a whole, now is a very exciting time to join!
Key responsibilities:
The role's key accountabilities include:
Learning & Development Administration, Reporting and Planning
* Report on training compliance and ensure it is considered in action planning and improvement initiatives.
* Undertake administrative functions to manage and maintain training records on a Learning Management System
* Understand, track, and integrate relevant Operations safety & performance standards.
* Plan, prepare, and review internal training plans for new team member induction and recurrence activities.
* Coordinate and schedule external training as required.
* Report on IOC and Terminals monthly training metrics.
Collaboration and Communication
* Facilitate F2F and/or online learning programs to enhance learning and knowledge retention for a broad range of learners with different needs.
* Collaborate with L&C team members to design and/or develop enterprise learning solutions as required.
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on administrative, operational and L&C matters when required.
* Attend and conduct regular internal (and external) meetings as a L&C representative.
* Participate in safety/procedural/CASA audits when requested and respond to findings when appropriate.
Workplace Safety
* Conducts all work in a safe and sustainable manner.
* Identifies and follows safe work practices.
* Promotes and contributes to a proactive safety culture.
Some additional responsibilities include:
* Ensures compliance of team members to relevant legislation, industry standards, reporting and procedural requirements within the Integrated Operations Centre (IOC), Terminals, and wider Melbourne Airport team.
* Engages with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to understand L&C requirements, working collaboratively to align delivered learning to L&C standards.
The successful candidate will have:
* Demonstrable relevant work experience within the Aviation sector relating to learning, compliance and auditing principles.
* Knowledge and previous application of relevant regulatory and statutory obligations relating to aviation, safety and security.
* Experience facilitating classroom or on-the-job training/programs.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications (i.e. Certificate IV Workplace Training & Assessment) preferred.
