We are looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join our Services_APAC team in Australia. Your main tasks and responsibilities: The Mechanical repair of LV, MV & HV electrical rotating machinery. Disassemble electromechanical equipment noting parts identification, configuration, and condition aligned with QA procedures. Balance mechanical assemblies using dynamic balancing equipment. Carry out Mechanical repairs to Shafts, Journals and Housings as required. Determine job status, work authorizations, estimate, description of problems/expected serviceability. Correctly requisition needed items from stores/purchasing, as approved by Supervisor. Test electromechanical equipment to troubleshoot known or suspected problems using various methods (AC or DC) i.e. NDT. Under supervision or as licenced. Repair worn or defective mechanical or electromechanical assemblies including: shafts, gears, seals, impellers, mechanical switches, brakes, clutches, clutch rotors, fans, end shields, bearing fits. To succeed in this role, you will need: Experience in Mechanical fitting large equipment i.e., motors and generators; Team player; Drivers Licence.
