The Workforce Division comprises Employee Relations, Staff Recruitment and Employment Services, and Workforce Policy and Coordination. The Division is responsible for the provision of a range of human resource functions to Departmental business units and staff at all levels.
This includes:
1. industrial and employee relations
2. workers’ compensation, injury management and occupational safety and health
3. staffing and employment services
4. strategic human resource planning
5. strategic human resource policy advice and evaluation.
The Workforce Policy and Coordination Directorate provides strategic leadership and planning to develop the Department’s current and future workforce. We develop plans and strategies to develop an equitable and diverse workforce and to cater for their health and wellbeing.
The Role
This high-impact role involves conducting complex research and in-depth analysis of business intelligence data to identify critical trends and emerging issues. You’ll lead the design and development of dynamic dashboards, offering powerful visual insights that support decision-making across the Department. By leveraging your advanced technical skills, you’ll transform large datasets into actionable intelligence, informing workforce planning and strategic recommendations that drive sustainable improvements.
In addition to leading data analysis initiatives, you will stay at the forefront of industry standards, enabling the Department to adopt leading practices in reporting and analytics. You’ll prepare insightful reports, briefing notes, and responses to parliamentary inquiries, playing a key role in departmental communications. As a mentor, you’ll foster an environment of growth by developing the analytical skills of colleagues and cultivating valuable partnerships across the organisation.
