About the role: The Director, Reform Design and Delivery, leads the identification, development and implementation of planned care system reform and priority hospital and health service operational policies and initiatives that enable access to equitable and timely planned care for all Victorians.A key deliverable for this role will be the continued implementation of the ten reforms outlined in the Planned Surgery Reform Blueprint, as well as other system enabling projects that support the reforms such as the Customer Relationship Management platform.
Additionally, the role will lead the reform of Victoria's specialist care system through reform in action, as well as undertaking extensive sector and government consultation to co-design and develop a state-wide strategy to improve consumer access to specialist care.A major component of this role will be the ability to build, maintain and influence strong working relationships with senior health service and departmental stakeholders, including Ministerial Offices and Central Agencies, to provide strategic advice and implementable solutions, as well as maintain strong health sector engagement through regular communications and forums.About us: At the Victorian Department of Health we want a future where Victorians are the healthiest people in the world.

About you: * Provide project management expertise in relation to implementing funded and non-funded initiatives that drive planned care system reform and improve system performance over the short, medium and long term, including leading, shaping and establishing frameworks, tools and activities to ensure the best outcomes.
* Provide strategic direction to champion a culture of innovation and continuous improvement to develop and implement meaningful and tangible reform for consumers of the Victorian planned care system and ensure alignment with the government's key strategic directions.
* Build and maintain key internal and external stakeholder relationships to lead critical consultation and engagement to design, promote and support the implementation of agreed approaches for planned care reform and improvement.
* Maintain good awareness of the current political and government context and emerging health system trends to provide strategic, evidence-based advice and act as an authoritative source of information for the Deputy Secretary, Secretary, Minister, Central Agencies and other senior stakeholders to further develop and implement the department's objectives relating to the planned care system.
* Actively model the department's vision and values by demonstrating collaborative relationships, appropriate and effective governance, responsive leadership, community focus, developing our workforce, and accountability and effectiveness.
